What academic classes will Explorers offer for high schoolers in the 2009-2010 academic year?
Explorers offers science and writing classes for credit on an alternating year schedule. Each of the classes is taken for one full year. The grades listed are guidelines, with classes generally being open to others with permission of the instructor.
Odd numbered years (09, 11, etc):
o Apologia Physical science (grades 7-10)
o Apologia Chemistry (grades 9-12)
o Great Books (grades 7 and 8)
o Great Books (grades 9-12)
o Beginning Research & Report Writing (grades 7-10)
Even numbered years (08, 10, etc.):
o Apologia Biology(grades 9-12)
o Apologia Physics (grades 11 and 12)
o Themes in Literature (grades 7-10)
o Writing a Research Paper (grades 9-12)
o When necessary, we offer labs to accompany our science classes.
